The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission to Master of Arts in English (MEG) in both January and July academic cycles. Medium of Instruction
The student seeking admission to this programme should be having Bachelor’s Degree or a higher degree from a recognized University.
IGNOU MA English Fees 2018
The students need to pay Rs.10,800/- for the complete programme which has to be paid year wise @Rs. 5,400/- per year.
Duration of Programme
The university provides a minimum time duration of 2 years and maximum duration of 5 years to complete this master degree programme. If not completed on time, the students have to take re-admission and submit the fees again.

IGNOU MA English Admission Procedure
We request the students to visit their nearest Ignou Regional Centres for obtaining the admission prospectus. The admission notification is published by the university for both July and January academic cycles on its official website or in the local newspapers.
For MA English programme, the admission is offered by the university via online mode only. Students have to visit the university official website at https://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/ to apply for IGNOU MA English Online admission.The university offers admission in its MEG programme twice in a year i.e for January and July session as per the academic calendar.
The admission related advertisement is published by the university in the local daily newspapers, through regional media and also on the official website:- www.ignou.ac.in. The admission form and latest Ignou prospectus can be obtained from your nearest Ignou Regional Centres by paying a small amount of fee.

IGNOU MA English (MEG) Term-end Examination
The IGNOU MEG Term End Examinations are conducted twice in a year i.e in June and December. The student who will take admission to a master degree programme in English for July cycle can appear in next year June term end examination whereas the students who will take admission in January academic cycle can appear in December examinations for the same year.
If the student who will appear in June MEG examinations fail to pass in any course can fill the examination form for that particular course in next December examination. Same is the Case for December examination as well. The TEE constitutes the major part of evaluation system as it carries 70% weightage in the Final result.
